LEH MANALI SHIMLA 15 DAYS TOUR

DAY1

From New Delhi airport we are boarding a flight to Leh which brings you to the Himalayas in Ladakh, at an altitude of 3500 meters. Transferred to A HOTEL, you can stay there and get familiarized with the climate over there and also can visit Leh Palace or Shanti Stupa.

DAY2

You are going to start your road trip in your motorbike. We are going for a short trip around 50 km, so that you get comfortable with your motorbike. We are arranging your permits required by all non-Ladakhis to visit the tourist places ahead.

DAY3

Today we are going for the real motorbike road trip. Leading to Khardung La (5359 M) one of the highest motorable passes in the world.

DAY4

Leaving Leh and leading to Pangong Tso via Chang La pass (5289 M), this path take you deeper in Himayalayas and we are getting far from any human settlements. Pangong Tso is the first high altitude (4350 M)lake visited by you on this trip. Accommodations will be providing in tented camps.

DAY5

Returning to Leh via Paagal Nala a glacier melts and the Chang la. You can do shopping in Leh as we are leaving more adventurous place you will be spending days in region which is devoid of certain amenties including cell phone networks and provisions.

DAY6

Travelling in Leh-Manali highway till Upshi (checkpoint). Taking left will lead us to banks of river Indus to Mahe (Bridge and checkpoint). Turning south from here the road goes past the village Sumdo and over Namshang La (4739 M) after which its down hill to another small but beautiful lake called Tso Kiagar. The road here turns into just a sandy dusty track sprinkled with loose gravel all the way to Tso Moriri (4541 M) and the village of Korzok. You are allowed to discover the beauty of the lake and the village. We will stay at convenient tented camps.

DAY7

Departing from Tso Moriri to Tso. Tso is a fabulous view of spectacular mountain landscape and the local people and their herds of yaks and goats. Backtracking to the village of Sumdo, you’ll turn left crossing another high pass (Polokongka La, 4940 M ) over some sandy stretch of mostly gravel roads to reach the beautiful brackish lake called Tso Kar (4524 M), the third high altitude lake on this tour. Surrounded by a wild life sanctuary, Tso Kar is a salt lake and breeding ground of many rare migratory birds. Accommodations will be provided in convenient tented camps inclusive of all meals.

DAY8

Leaving Ladahk today, once again riding in the Leh-Manali highway, crossing Morey plains at an average height above 4000 M and passing two high passes (Lachlung La 5095M & Nakee La 4905M ) we will reach Sarchu, first check-point in Himachal Pradesh.

DAY9

Riding 90 km from Sarchu take us to Jispa by crossing Baralacha La (4850 M) pass, in winter you can expect snowfall here. We will reach Bhaga river via Suraj Taal, one of the beautiful high altitude lakes and we will stay at a pretty guest house there.

DAY10

Staying at Jispa you can explore the wonderful views around the Bhaga river and rest of the day is for leisure.

DAY11

We will reach Tandi first fuel station, via passing through the banks of Bhaga and going past Keylong, where the Chanda meets Bhaga, another river originated from glacier near Bharalacha La. Riding to Manali through a scenic greenery Rohtang pass (3978 M).

DAY12

Riding south from Manali, along the bank of Beas, we will see amazing scenery. Riding down the Kullu valley and turning south east towards Banjarat. From here, a 28 km ride passing through apple orchards leads to Nagini, right on the edge of The Great Himalayan National Park.

DAY13

A spectacular journey by passing through Jalori jot and then down through apple orchards leads to the Sutlej river. Joining the NH 22 and riding up in dense deodar forest to Narkanda. We are going to rest at forest footage by passing through a 6 km narrow and steep path.

DAY14

Heading to Shimla, “The summer capital of India” and exploring the mountain views and visiting a church on the Ridge.

DAY15

You will travel through Shivalik range to its footsteps Kalka by a car/MUV. Its time to say good-bye for the Himalayas and the fellow travelers. You will be boarding a train to New-Delhi which will take 4 hours would be the end of the trip. Dinner will be provided in the train.
